Due to its past as a shoemaker's town, you will still find many shoe shops here today - along with many other shops, of course. Llucmajor is simply a fine town for shopping and enjoyment. In the town centre, small cafés, restaurants and many romantic (market) squares invite you to linger. Many properties can be found in these squares. Because the heyday of the shoemaker's town is still reflected in the townscape: in the centre, mansion after mansion is lined up. The location is also unbeatable: Palma de Mallorca is only about 30 km away! And the mountain of Randa with its three monasteries is only a few kilometres away.

The whole of Mallorca is within easy reach from here, as idyllic Porreres is located in the heart of the island, in the rural region of Es Pla, but only around 30 minutes by car from the airport. Porreres has always remained Porreres, a Mallorcan village characterised by the warmth of the locals. You meet on the main street with small bars, sleepy cafés and the well-known Gothic church 'Nostra Senyora de la Consolacion'. The market has a wide selection of fruit, vegetables and honey, as the surrounding countryside is particularly famous for its olives, apricots and almonds, as well as its wineries. The location and the relaxed atmosphere perhaps explain why about a fifth of the residents come from abroad and have found a new or second home here.
