Overview of golf clubs in Mallorca
Mallorca offers much more besides holidays, beach, sea and party. The golf scene in particular is constantly growing on the Balearic island.
However, the hobby is not only suitable for short holidaymakers; more and more locals are devoting themselves to the outdoor activity. The special thing about golfing on Mallorca: the extraordinary landscapes in the different corners of the island.
Those who want to play golf on Mallorca can choose between 24 different golf courses. They are located in the north, east, south and west of the island. Especially the southwest is densely populated with golf courses. Six of the golf courses alone are located around the capital Palma de Mallorca. Thus, the capital is a golf hotspot for professionals and newcomers.
The high season for golf in Mallorca usually takes place in March, April and May. A second season usually begins in September and lasts until November. However, Mallorca's golf courses are busy all year round.
Of the 24 golf courses on the island, three are private. Accordingly, only guests of the hotel or the respective golf club are allowed to play golf on these courses. Without any time pressure, golf fans can let off steam and tee off in peace. These golf courses include:

Green fees of the golf courses
Member or not? Sure, usually there are always many advantages for the people concerned with memberships. Golfing on Mallorca is no different: depending on the form of membership, you can tee off on the golf courses at any time without incurring further costs. Nevertheless, golfing is also possible without a membership: You only have to pay the so-called green fee.
The green fee is to be understood as an entrance fee to the golf course. By paying the green fee, golfers are allowed to play on the 18 and 9 holes as well as the short course. However, tee times must be booked for this. There are 21 golf courses on Mallorca for green fee players. The classification of the golf courses is as follows:
- 19 golf courses with 18 holes
- 1 golf course with 9 holes
- 1 golf course as Pitch + Putt Executive facility
Green fee prices on the Spanish island vary. Of course, they depend on the respective golf club and the season. In the high season, a green fee of 100.00 euros per day can be assumed on average, in the low season this amount is 80.00 euros per day. The cheapest green fees are around 65.00 euros per day. The Golf Clubs of Mallorca: Handicap Classification
Golf courses in Mallorca have different handicap requirements. Most golf courses are suitable for Hcp 0 to -36. For golfers and with Hcp-37 to Hcp-57, there are a small number of golf courses on Mallorca. At these courses, tee times and green fees can usually be booked at lunchtime. If the higher handicappers were also teeing off at the same time on the course, it would lead to slower play on the course. Therefore, Hcp 0 to -34 have priority. Golfing in Mallorca
Green fees in Mallorca range from around €65 to €160 per day. However, the prices can change depending on the season and the type of booking. With the Mallorca Golfcard, you can also play golf on 16 golf courses in Mallorca in pairs and only pay for one.
There are 24 golf courses on Mallorca: 21 of them are public, tee times and green fees have to be booked and paid. Three of the golf clubs are private: access to these is only possible as a guest of the associated hotels or restaurants.
The high season extends through March and into May. In September, golfers can look forward to the second season of the year. This runs until the first weeks of November. However, most golf clubs on Mallorca can be visited all year round.
