Lagebeschreibung

Stücken is the youngest and largest district of Michendorf in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark in Brandenburg. The village was probably already settled in the Slavic period and in the Middle Ages it was a manor village with an outwork. Due to its central location in the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park, the village, which has long been characterised by agriculture, is increasingly oriented towards cautious tourism in its development on the basis of a local sustainability strategy and has already served as a film backdrop several times.

The popular residence for families is characterized above all by its natural environment, shopping facilities, primary school and daycare facilities are available and can also be easily reached by car. The national road 73, which runs from Michendorf via Luckenwalde to Baruth/Mark, runs through the village. The bus line 608 connects Stücken with the main municipality of Michendorf and the state capital Potsdam almost every hour on weekdays. The bus line 644 runs school bus services to Beelitz on school days in the morning and in the afternoon.

In a few minutes by car you reach the popular Seddin Lake, which is with 218 hectares the second largest lake in the nature park Nuthe-Nieplitz. Several sandy beaches and clear water invite you to swim and windsurf. Around the lake there is a 10 km long hiking trail. All around you have a protected landscape area and therefore "pure nature" to enjoy in your free time. Adjacent to the lake lies the area of the award-winning Golf and Country Club Seddiner See. Golfers will find two excellent 18-hole championship courses here.

The range of leisure activities is extended by the area surrounded by woods, meadows and fields, recreation seekers and recreational athletes will find a lot of possibilities here. Furthermore there are two fitness studios and a yoga studio in the centre of Michendorf. Finally, Stücken is located on the 66 Lakes Regional Park Route, a hiking trail around Berlin.
