Potsdam, the cultural city with about 170,000 inhabitants and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a popular place of residence for families, children and young people. Through the University of Potsdam, the Hasso Plattner Institute and Oracle, there is also a healthy science and university culture.

Once the summer residence of the Prussian Monarchy, with diverse architectural influences, it was later chosen as the site for Potsdam Conference at the end of WWII. Potsdam\'s Filmstudio Babelsberg is today one of the most modern centers of film and television production in Germany and the world.

The Nauener Vorstadt district of Potsdam is home to extensive parks such as the Neuen Garten, Alexandrowka and numerous historic sights such as Cecilienhof, Marble Palace and Pfingstberg Belvedere and is only 2 km from the sprawling Sanssouci Park gardens and castles.

The Nauener Tor, one of four archways to the old city, is a 5 minute-walk from the villa. From there you can walk or bicycle through Dutch Quarter down old cobblestone streets to discover Potsdam’s numerous cafes and shops, the Old Market, the Stadtpalais, and the world-class Barberini Museum. Even closer to the house is the Neuen Garten, where beautiful jogging paths take you past the Marble Castle and Cecelienhof and where you can also sunbathe and even swim in the Heiliger See and Jungfernsee.

The Bus and tram stops are around the corner. More and more Berlin city dwellers are moving to this green city, an easy commute with plenty of good Kindergartens and schools. 100m from the house is the BBIS school bus stop from where your children can easily attend the Berlin Brandenburg International School in Kleinmachnow.

The heart of Berlin city and both airports, Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SFX) are 30 minutes away by car.

Where else can you live amidst parks, castles and lakes in an historic city just half an hour from an ultra-cool European metropolis?

3D Rundgang

This Heritage listed villa on the doorstep of the old city, was built around 1823 by Johann Friedrich Lutzke who was given the land for his service by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. The city villa, with approx. 555 m² of living/usable space, is located on grounds of approx. 1,150 m² in Potsdam\'s respected residential area, the Nauener Vorstadt.

150 year-old trees provide the 650 m² garden a natural and comfortable environment, where the sun shines on every wall of the house. The historic garden pavilion is now used as a conservatory and tea house.

Luxurious features, attention to detail, and design elements from all over the world can be found throughout the house. Five of the seven bedrooms offer a bathroom en suite.

The semi-basement is equipped with floor heating and the other floors with cast-iron ribbed radiators which are heated by a Buderus central gas heater. Fast internet and technical features installed throughout make the house versatile and easy.
