Andratx shadows the relaxed lifestyle of a typical Mallorquin village. The impressive town-hall, which is the administrative headquarters for the municipality, is situated high above the village, in a beautiful castle-like building. On Wednesdays there is a weekly market.

Andratx is not a touristic village; there are no hotels or guesthouses. Social life takes place mainly in the cafés, restaurants, and small shops around the “Plaza”- the village square - or on the pedestrian streets running through the village.
