Calvià is situated in the southwest of Mallorca at the beginning of the Tramuntana mountain range and belongs to the wealthiest communities on the island. The majestic Town Hall, the head of the municipality, is located in a representative building, resembling a castle. Situated in the entrance of the town, it welcomes visitors and residents when they come into Calvià. The impressive church of “Sant Joan Baptista” is at the centre of the village.
