Andratx reflects the relaxed life of a typical Mallorquin village. The impressive town-hall, which is the administrative headquarters for the municipality, is situated high above the village, in a beautiful castle-like building.
Andratx is not a touristic village; there are neither hotels nor guesthouses. Life takes place mainly in the cafes, restaurants and small shops around the“Plaza“ - the village square - or in the pedestrian areas.
In the centre of Andratx, typical town houses adorn the streets and paths, and often have interior patios and small gardens. Modern designer apartment complexes and semi-detached houses can be found around the old district.
Many beaches can be found close by. The village has a good infrastructure and easy access to Palma.
