Santanyí, for many the most beautiful town on the island.

Yes, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns on Mallorca. Beware, beware: here you will encounter pirate tracks at every turn. The remains of the former city fortifications, the Porta Murrada, are silent witnesses of the past, as is the fortified church of Sant Andreu. The unique Parc Natural de Mondrago, which stretches all the way to the sea, is also very close by. Here you will find unspoilt nature, beautiful beaches, ancient stone houses and many an old but preserved smuggler's hideout.

Architecture - Welcome to the original Mallorca

Santanyí, like the surrounding region, is still of pristine and pure beauty. The famous marès, from which many palaces and also the cathedral in Palma were built, comes from here. Even the best properties are often built from this noble sandstone - for example, the old mansions and hidden townhouses in Santanyí, which are located between the local shops and restaurants and offer the highest living comfort. Prices start at around 600,000 euros and can sometimes go up to 3,000,000 euros. Nevertheless, prices here - like everything in the southeast - are still more grounded than in the rest of Mallorca. Exceptions are the famous Hamburger Hill near Santanyí, where (as the name suggests) many Hamburgers have fulfilled their dream of living in Mallorca, as well as the places on the coast. Here, there are luxury properties that come on the market for well over 5,000,000 euros. The region is otherwise strongly characterised by top-renovated fincas with large landholdings of at least 25,000 sqm.
