Neu Fahrland is located in the north of the Brandenburg state capital Potsdam. Clockwise, the district is bordered in the east by the Krampnitzsee and Lehnitzsee, in the south by the Jungfernsee, the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal and the White Lake, and in the west by the Fahrländer See, thus forming a "five-lake district" almost completely surrounded by water. Completely surrounded by water and a landscape of mixed forests, Neu Fahrland is a natural beauty of the Havelland.
