At DAHLER & COMPANY, we are committed to providing all users with the best possible access to our digital content – regardless of individual limitations or technical conditions. Our goal is to make our website as accessible and user-friendly as possible.

How accessible is our website?

Our website is undergoing continuous improvement to meet the requirements of the German Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) in conjunction with the EU Directive (EU) 2019/882. The legal basis for this is the European standard EN 301 549, which is aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

We have already implemented a wide range of measures to enhance digital accessibility. These include:

• Introduction of a pause button on animated elements for better control of dynamic content
• Revision of the main navigation bar to improve keyboard and screen reader usability
• Optimisation of responsive design for mobile devices
• Improvement of styling, colour contrast and HTML structure across the following subpages and areas:
  • Press releases
  • Articles
  • Property listings
  • Property brochures
  • Reference properties
  • Team introductions
  • Footer, legal notice, privacy policy, contact forms, location banners
• Standardisation and adaptation of all buttons in terms of wording, contrast and focus
• Correction of identified errors in forms and app bar components on the homepage (as flagged by WAVE – Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)

Third-party integrations

The following measures have been taken regarding third-party content:

• ProvenExpert: The colour contrasts of the integrated rating widget have been adjusted to improve legibility and accessibility.
• Maklaro: The accessibility of the embedded module is not yet fully implemented. Maklaro has been informed in writing and is involved in ongoing optimisation efforts.

Existing limitations

Despite extensive improvements, some limitations still remain, particularly with:

• Older PDF documents
• Video content not yet fully supplemented with subtitles
• Full accessibility of certain third-party components

We are continuously working to identify and resolve these remaining barriers.
